Alabaster Caverns State Park, in Freedom, OK is the only gypsum showcave in the United States and the largest gypsum cavern developed for touring in the world.
Alabaster Caverns is the only gypsum cavern (showcave) open for touring in the United States and the largest cavern developed for touring in the world. It is one of only three known caverns that contains rare black alabaster and typically has a large bat population.
Hours of Operation: Regular operating hours are from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, 7 days a week. Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend the hours are extended from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
